Speech Language Technician (SLT)
Connected 2 Therapy needs an SLT to join our team!
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications Disorders or the equivalent required
Available to travel to and serve multiple schools throughout the state
Flexible schedule that affords regular attendance at schools and meets school schedule needs
School experience preferred
USBE Associate or Professional SLT License preferred
Must become licensed while employed with C2T if not already licensed upon hire
Pay for licensed vs non-licensed varies
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
SLTs will work under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist (SLP) to:
Support instructional and therapeutic opportunities in the education setting under the supervision of the SLP
Deliver therapy according to the IEP, schedule and under the supervision of the SLP
Assist with informal and formal documentation (i.e., logs) as directed by the SLP
Collect data and document student performance and report to the supervising SLP
Assist the SLP with scheduling, record keeping, material preparation
Represent yourself as working under the SLP
Assist with speech, language, and hearing screenings, without interpretation.
Create your own schedule under the guidance of the school special education director and SLP
Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA laws
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Connected 2 Therapy needs an RBT to join our team!
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
Available to travel to and serve multiple clients throughout the state
Available to work up to 30 hours per week
Flexible schedule and ability to create and maintain your own schedule
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience working with children with behavioral challenges
Ability to follow detailed instructions to adapt to evolving behavioral strategies
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs and IEP team for clients with behavior challenges (e.g., physical aggression, self-harm, elopement, destruction of property, other dangerous behavior)
Provide direct, one-on-one or group therapy sessions to clients, focusing on behavior modification and skill development
Collect and record data on client progress, behavior, and responses during sessions
Follow treatment protocols and intervention strategies as outlined by supervising BCBAs
Intervene directly with clients in emergency situations with/under supervision of BCBA for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
Assist with individualized assessments (e.g., curriculum-based, developmental, social skills) under supervision of BCBA
Coordinate with BCBA to assist with the development of behavior interventions plans
Coordinate with BCBA to help determine the effectiveness of behavior plans
Other duties as assigned
Occupational Therapist (OT)

Qualifications:
Compliant with state education license requirements
Valid OT license through the state
Available to travel to and serve multiple schools throughout the state
Available to work up to 30 hours per week

Strong oral and written communication skills with parents, students, school staff, and company staff
School experience preferred
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and interpret evaluations and test results according to IDEA USBE SER timelines for evaluation, reevaluation, and annual data
Provide evaluation results to school team and parents
Collaborate with General Education and Special Education staff
Work with the school team to create a schedule of services
Deliver and document occupational therapy services
Planning and implementing appropriate services to meet the individual student goals and benchmarks
Provide supervision for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and paraeducators
Participate in the IEP and eligibility meetings
Develop goals for individual student IEPs
Track progress in relation to evaluation and reporting progress towards goals
Ensure all paperwork is completed according to school request and within the appropriate timelines
Communicate with parents and school teams regarding needs of student in relation to their educational services
Maintain flexibility and be effective in problem solving, organization, and time management skills
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Qualifications:
Compliant with state education license requirements
Valid OTA license or OTA certification through the state
Available to travel to and serve multiple schools throughout the state
Available to work up to 30 hours per week
Flexible schedule that affords regular attendance at schools to meets school schedule needs
Strong oral and written communication skills with parents, students, school staff, and company staff
School experience preferred
Knowledge about the federal and state education rules and regulations which impact an Occupational Therapist’s role in providing services to special education students
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to students by direct or consultation to address range or motion, sensory strategies and techniques, fine and gross motor activities as related to IEP goals under the supervision of an OT
Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes.
Adapts school and classroom environment, tools and materials under the supervision of the OT for the purpose of improving student functioning
Assists OT with assessing students' fine motor, and development skills for the purpose of determining their deficits and developing recommendations
Consults with multidisciplinary teams for the purpose of providing requested information, reviewing students’ occupational therapy goals, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations to implement goals.
Implements therapeutic activities and instructs other involved persons (e.g. positioning, adjusting special equipment, etc.) for the purpose of providing appropriate care to students and/or supporting the student’s IEP plan for use in the classroom.
Maintains treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition for the purpose of implementing motor/therapy goals.
Transports a variety of items (e.g. puzzles, games, assistive devices, assessment tools, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required for therapy sessions.
